RHIANNON MAY

Rhiannon May is a pioneering Deaf actor and BSL user, best known for her role as Cara Connelly in the BBC’s Silent Witness, where she became the first Deaf actor to hold a regular role in the series, appearing across four seasons.

In 2024, she performed at Shakespeare’s Globe in a bilingual production of Antony & Cleopatra, and portrayed Beethoven in the BBC Proms’ Beethoven’s Ninth by Heart at the Royal Albert Hall.

Her screen credits also include a leading role in The Riley Sisters, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, and an appearance in the BBC's LGBTQIA+ short film Silent Pride. She has also performed in The Princess and the Pauperwith the Hordern Ciani / Swanage Rep Theatre Company.
